Tim & Puma Mimi’s new release is a collection of stones. One day, Mimi found a full candy box in her bag. She put one in her mouth. It wasn’t sweet but a stone. Mimi forgot that she collected stones in the box. Tim always made fun of it, but also got inspired. So, Tim and Mimi started to pick up stones together all around from Tokyo train stations to parents’ garden near Zurich. Some were too heavy and dirty, but some turned into glowing melodies of freaky electro pop: a cheerful mosaic of bleepy and groovy gems.

ティム＆プーマミミの最新リリースは石のコレクションです。ある日、バッグの中から、偶然、中身が一杯詰まったキャンディーの箱を発見したミミ。口に一つ放り込むと、甘く、ない。石ころでした。キャンディーの空き箱に小石を集めて入れておいたのをすっかり忘れていたのです。ティムは大笑いしつつも、インスピレーションがわいてきました。それから、ティムはミミと一緒に、東京の駅からチューリヒ郊外の実家の庭先まで、いたるところで、石を集めはじめます。重いのもあれば、汚いのもある。でも中には磨くとフリーキーなエレクトロポップメロディーを奏でるやつもでてきました。アッパーでグルービーなピコピコ音がキラリ光る、ティム＆プーマミミの石コレクション。お楽しみください。

Filewile are back with a fresh take on their signature leftfield Pop song, this time round with less Dub and more Funk. What starts off as a Folk song with a nod to Chinese movie scores, soon evolves into an electric Funk tune, reminiscent of Prince and George Clinton, with a sparse and groovy rhythm section. The strong groove is enhanced by the interplay of the beat with Joy Frempong’s rhythmic vocals.

About a year ago four Swiss brothers smashed it with a couple of EP’s featuring heavyweights Sizzla, Cutty Ranks and underground legends Oddatee and Sensational. BBC1‘s host Mary Anne (we’re missing you!) Hobbs took notice and dropped the debut on her show – positioning Talen amidst the cream of the Bass scene. Instead of basking in the limelight and peacefully riding out the wave, the duo holed up in the studio for another year to create an even thicker package – Comic Book is the result!

The EP features the vocal talent of Lady Saw,Turbulence and Ward 21. Remix duty is handled by the Bass mafia international: Stereotyp, Kalbata, Robot Koch, Reverse Engineering, Son Of Kick, Filewile, I-Wolf and King Aron.

The package covers the chew-your-bass-cabinets-off type of Future Dancehall, explores detail filled Post Step and of course touches on some sounds that are just impossible to categorize!

The vinyl includes all 3 Talen originals and remixes by Robot Koch, Son Of Kick and Kalbata. The rest of the package is available only as download (included with Vinyl 12”)
