Elio Ricca
They say Elio Ricca once set a piano on fire in a public park. They say Elio Ricca sleeps surrounded by stuffed toy houses in a rainbow-shaped bed. They say Elio Ricca has flings with all sorts of music styles because he's afraid of commitment.
They say a lot of things. But what they don’t know is that the infamous duo, who’s been relentlessly dropping singles and music videos for the past two years, has secretly been crafting a whole new sound, working in their music laboratory day and night, soldering, fusing, shaping, and breathing life into a monster—a new album with nine brand new bangers, ready to charm your ears, sink its teeth into your neck, and pulse through your veins.
Pop-life meets underground, disco collides with grunge, synthwave crashes into punk, and Italian singer-songwriter intertwines with psychedelia. Yet, the core principles stay the same: honesty and originality. Where there were once rainbows and houses, now you'll find more relatable themes like coping with ADHD, navigating societal pressures, and dealing with crumbling relationships. But don’t worry, there's still room for a dash of nonsense. Oh, and for the first time, some tracks are in Italian—Elio’s native language.
Their new album—whose name shall remain secret for the moment—will drop in August 2025. The first single, "They Say They Say," will be released on November 29th this year.
«If we were a movie, we would probably be an eclectic low-budget action drama, with a few sex scenes and no happy end.»
