IKAN HYU — C:K:C
Being cool is one thing, but staying authentic is another. C:K:C - short for Cool Kids Club - is a song for everyone who does their thing and likes to swim against the tide.
The song represents the band’s musical development – the fact that they have never allowed themselves to be held back by genre boundaries has cemented their status as one of the most innovative acts of the Swiss music scene.
The idea for the song came about during a one-day writing session with Danish artist and songwriter Kill J. On a second recording day, on which Hannah also recorded the drums, a completely new interlude was created with a metal/punk rock guitar riff à la Papa Roach. Live on stage, Anisa plays the song on a specially designed keyV - a Flying V with a MIDI keyboard mounted on it – meaning she plays synth bass and electric guitar at the same time.
And if that's not cool enough for you, this song will also feature a sample of Hannah's screaming skills…
With C:K:C, IKAN HYU are going all out and challenge the audience to do the same: Let me see you lose it in the pit!
