Tal Arditi — One More Day

Tal Arditi’s “One More Day” Captures the Tension Before Change

Berlin-based singer-songwriter Tal Arditi returns with One More Day, a standout track from his forthcoming EP Close Your Eyes, slated for release in 2025.

On this song, Arditi captures the precise moment just before surrendering to change and melting into the possibility of a new future.

One More Day opens with a hypnotic guitar loop. As the tension builds in the verses, Arditi draws listeners into an emotional limbo, where everything feels on the verge of snapping: “The wind is blowing left and right / Getting stronger with my intention.”

Arditi dances between hesitation and desire for freedom using the elements of his signature sound: angular guitar and organic percussive elements sampled from his instruments and random objects in his bedroom. One More Day highlights Arditi’s knack for creating tension in the smallest of details. The verses simmer with unresolved energy, while the chorus breaks open, offering a glimpse of the emotional release that comes with accepting the need for change. The bridge features a guitar solo reminiscent of St. Vincent, sharp and precise, cutting through the track with a sense of finality before the final reprise of “I think I’m free”, hinting that the moment is only temporary before the next emotional challenge.

“It’s about that moment right before you decide to let go and embrace something new,” Arditi says of the track. “The repetition in the song mirrors how we get stuck in our own heads, but the release comes when you finally take that first step.”

One More Day is a song for anyone who’s been on the cusp of change, feeling the weight of uncertainty but knowing they can’t stay where they are. Arditi captures that emotional journey with precision and subtlety on One More Day, making it a powerful second track from his upcoming EP.
