After years of living in the charming chaos of an old apartment share, suddenly moving into a freshly renovated flat is quite a shift, isn't it? Pina Palau found herself in such an uninspired environment at first. However, guided by Adrianne Lenker's motto - "We could frame (just about) anything and it would seem quite significant" - she transformed the silence into music. "Modern Home" was born: two chords and one single take in the studio. Lightness and carefreeness characterize the song consistently, as it was initially conceived as a joke, even a quick shot.
