Kaboo — Longitude 20

What happens when two music producers from Bern and Uganda become friends and start a
collaborative project?
The result is the diverse and surprising producer album "Longitude 20", featuring collaborations with
many music artists from Uganda and Switzerland. The longitude 20 symbolically represents the
center between these two locations.
In ten songs, the two producers Jakob Liechti, Kaboo, and Frank Amanya, Baru, bring together
Friends, Ugandan and Swiss artists from their respective networks. They were able to bring in well-
known musicians as well as talented newcomers in to the studio. No guidelines were given regarding
music style and language. Hip-hop, Afrobeat, Gqom, Pop, traditional, and classical elements are
combined playfully. Singing and rapping is done in English, French, Luganda, Rutooro, Swiss-german,
and Lhukonzo.
