MAKKEEM

MAKKEEM is a Swiss-Congolese artist bringing a distinctive new voice to German alternative pop and R&B. Vulnerable and raw yet warm, melodic and accessible, his music explores the tensions between where we come from, who we become and where we belong.

At the heart of MAKKEEM’s songwriting are stories of change, relationships, ambition and the realities of growing up between different worlds. His music finds lightness within difficult subjects, pairing emotional honesty with a contemporary sound that moves between alternative R&B and pop — at times experimental and edgy, but always driven by melody and feeling.

MAKKEEM has developed his sound alongside an international production team including Niketaz, Ben Mühlenthaler and Free Quenzy, whose combined credits span artists such as Prince, Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Pashanim, Luciano, Trippie Redd, Lil Tecca and Juicy J. Rather than defining his music through those references, the collaboration has helped MAKKEEM build a world of his own around his voice, stories and identity.

With his first EP set for release in 2027, MAKKEEM is introducing an artistic universe that feels deeply personal while reaching far beyond his own experience.
