Laskaar — Drunk

Laskaar has been unavoidable in the global underground music, art, fashion scene, bouncing frequently between Zurich, New York, LA, and Marrakech, and collaborating with Lana Del Rey and Beyonce-tapped model Shaun Ross to acclaimed designer & Muse FavelaPunk.

His first release, a  cover version of Röyksopp and Robyn's »Monument« thrust him into the international spotlight, which in itself is remarkable as the song featured only his voice.He was right away discovered by the renowned label [PIAS] Recordings and his debut EP "Never met you" was celebrated by international blogs like Noisey and the Fader just to name a few.

Fusing the creative space between zeitgeist and nostalgia, Laskaar is an original musical and visual artist, who voices the front of the new creative millennial generation. A singer with soul, pain and pride in his voice and a powerful softness with a unique sound that feels dark, liquid & ethereal. 

After working on new music, touring for 1 year and being the opening act of artist like Tinie Tempah and Dillon he is now releasing his new Single "Drunk" & giving us a new angle of his creativity and sound spectrum.

Inspired by the music of his friends in the New York underground scene he produced this beat-driven uptempo track with a fusion sound that combines Brazilian baile funk elements, voguing samples & in contrast ravey synth sounds which give it a spacey yet industrial Vibe that hasn't been heart quite like this before.

The artwork of the single was created by longtime Björk collaborator Andrew Thomas Huang (Björks Vulnicura cover and her last videos "The Gate")

The music video was recorded in 360° during Paris fashion week at the Show/Installation of the Swiss Designer Julian Zigerli.
