Evelinn Trouble — Started A Fire
A few weeks before her Strings-Tour kicks off, Evelinn Trouble suprises us with a new song of her «Season Indicators» series: the grungy, guitar-driven «Started A Fire». Here, Trouble shows us a new side of herself: a sonic landscape that is overwhelming, warm and addictive. It starts with an intimate mood that turns into a dark vortex as drums and cellos kick in. The lyrics are a eulogy to the shadow parts of the self, the ones that, if not uncovered, can destroy everythig like wildfire. Reminiscent of early «Arcade Fire» and «Amen Dunes» the song is a clear departure from the clarity of her acclaimed «Longing Fever» and points to something new.
"Started A Fire" is the fifth song Evelinn Trouble releases as part of her serial project "Season Indicators": every six weeks, a gem from her seemingly inexhaustible song archive emerges. And these songs will get their live-premiere on stage in February 2024, as part of her national «Strings-Tour» with her infamous All-Finta* Band and a trio of string players. Don't miss!
